DEVOTION TONGKAT ALI, Tongkat Ali is a popular folk name for Eurycoma longifolia, a medium size slender tree reaching 10 metres in height. The name Tongkat Ali means Alis walking stick. Another folk name for the plant is Longjack. Tongkat Ali is native to Malaysia, lower Burma, Thailand, and Indonesia.

In Malaysia it is called “Tongkat Ali" or "Penawarpahit”, used as antipyretic and aphrodisiac. In Indonesia, it is called“Pasak Bumi”, used as treatment of abdominal pain, persistent fever and dysentery.It is called “Gay Ba Buih” in Vietnam, means plant to treat various diseases. In Thailand, its dry root used as an medicine to treat fever.
